Presentations on ‘IN BLOOM’ will be given by Sue Aitkin (previous Chair of Thornbury in Bloom) and Barry Cruse who is not only a judge for S West In Bloom but the Chair of Bath in Bloom.

Actions drawn out of Village Plan that the Parish Council are going to investigate and look to deliver include:-

•Supporting Memorial Hall with their Refurbishments •Improvements to Play Area and Pitches

•Litter Pick – Cleanliness of Charfield – In Bloom

•Footpaths •Housing Needs Survey •Protecting Open Spaces

 The Clerk opened up a waiting list for Allotments at the Village Plan Launch on Saturday – should you wish to be included on the list – please contact clerk…..

If you are interested in a ‘Garden Share’* while waiting for Allotments to become available (or you would prefer this to a full size allotment) then contact clerk….. 

 * this can be if you have a large garden and want to share it – or if you have no / limited garden and are looking for one to share *

The Mobile Library is a free service that runs across South Gloucestershire. It runs to a fortnightly timetable and you can get on at any stop. A range of popular Fiction and Non Fiction titles are always in stock plus Large Print & Children’s books. If we don’t have the author or subject you require on board it can be reserved for free to be collected next visit. We also stock Talking Books (in both CD & Cassette format), Jigsaws and a selection of films & TV shows on DVD.

 You can use the Mobile Library service even if you also use another library so South Gloucestershire library cards or Active Cards are valid on board.

 The Mobile Library is equipped with a lift for people with mobility problems.
