Play Equipment
It is the responsibility of Charfield Parish Council to maintain the children’s play equipment in the playing field. The equipment is examined monthly by Councillors, but if you come across damage you feel requires immediate repair or have other comments regarding this equipment, please contact the Clerk.
NEWS: The toddler play area is due for refurbishment. The Parish Council has, through the annual precept and successful grant applications, accumulated approximately £30,000 to carry out a complete replacement of the existing equipment, which is now at the end of its life. The Play Area Working Group met with local Landscape Designers “Jane’s Pond” and hope to have a radical new play facility in place by summer 2010. This new play area, designed with toddlers and small children in mind, will incorporate earth mounds, tunnels and steps, and a central sand pit area, built around a train theme which reflects the adjacent listed Charfield Station.
