Update Monday 14th June : The (high quality) topsoil that was brought in appears to have harboured weed seeds! Instead of the grass seed producing a verdant and attractive surface there is currently a carpet of weeds. This is being addressed by the topsoil provider, who will be spraying off the weeds and re-seeding later this month. It may be, however, that the opening of the play area will have to be put back – possibly into the school holidays, which is a huge disappointment. We and our playscape contractor are doing all we can to remedy this issue. Bear with us.

Things are happening in the old toddlers play area! The main mound has been re-shaped, the crawl tube is being fitted into the new front mound. The rotten wooden steps by the slide have been replaced with tyre steps and tractor tyres will form a seat on the mound itself, which now has a spiral ramp running up it. Work continues…

Please remember, while work commences, to keep your children away from the construction site. After it is finished we will need to give it some further time while the grass grows…
