Traffic Count on Little Bristol Lane (14 flats appeal)
You may recall CPC requested a traffic survey of Little Bristol Lane in order to consider the effect of the then proposed (then Refused and now in Appeal) Planning Application for 14 Flats on the corner of Wotton Road and Little Bristol Lane. Charfield Parish Council, now joined by other local organisations and members of the public, believes this Application to be wholly inappropriate, both in terms of design and location.
Here are the graphs of the traffic in Little Bristol Lane over the week of the survey.

If anyone would like the raw data this is available from the Clerk.

2nd Place in National Website Awards!
We are delighted and honoured to be able to annouce that our web site has been awarded second place in the LCR / Co-operative Bank Website of the Year 2008 awards!
We never expected to come in the top three when we nominated our site, which was then very new and even now has yet to reach it’s first birthday, for the competition.
We were even more delighted when Sue Bailey and Mark Rosher were presented with the certificate at a training day in Long Ashton. The award goes a long way to affirming our design philosophy and content. We can always improve of course, and we would appreciate feedback from the parish and helpful comments on how we could do even better.
I do believe there is a photograph of the presentation floating about somewhere, but modesty (and the lack of a copy) prevents our embarrassment!
