12th Nov 07: Latest news on the article below is that the Dev West Committee voted against granting permission to the developer – a late objection from Railtrack noting the unstable enbankment may have helped! Well done to all villagers who followed this and gave their support……… 

The planning officer at South Glos Council  has recommended in his report to Councillors at the Dev West Meeting to be held on Thursday 8th November that they approve the developer’s proposals for the site in spite of huge local residents’ and Parish Council’s strong objections. TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AT NEW STREET CHARFIELD SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE. Please be advised that New Street in Charfield, South Gloucestershire will be closed from the 26^th November 2007.
