Note that we can now recycle plastic, courtesy of the new bins in the car park of The Railway Tavern.

The fortnightly collections by South Gloucestershire Council will take most other recyclable waste.

There is an organisation in Charfield called ‘Worktwice Recycling’ based at The Pinmill in New Street, who will deal with printer cartridges, batteries, bulbs and fluorescent tubes, mobile phones etc, and will also collect by arrangement.

Larger items can be taken to the Sort-It centres at Yate and Thornbury.

The two semi-enclosed bus shelters in Charfield are now required by law to be ‘non smoking’ environments, and No Smoking signs have been mounted inside both of them. Please don’t rip them down.
